Dj Darkstar, aka Marcial White has been in the music scene his entire life. Started at traditional instruments, his journey in music began at a young age. At 21 years old currently, he has been playing music of one form or another for 12 + years. Starting with the trumpet, performing classical music for his various schools, until high school when he had experience not only with the trumpet, but also with the drums, flute, saxaphone, and piano. Ultimately, this lead to his leadership of his section in the Jazz Band until he graduated. Somewhere in the middle, he picked up a cd of Dj Dan's loose caboose. Captivated by the stream of beats ranging from breaks to house, and never stopping until the end, Darkstar decided to take up the new hobby of djing. The progression was relatively, normal, beginning at house, learning more and progressing into trance and deeper house, growing board of the 4x4 beats that got so repetative, discovering breaks, but still not fast enough... one day jungle came into his life with deadly force. The first jungle record that caught his attention was Sniper and Mystical's Dubplate Pressure on one of the "Together as One" compilation cd's. From then on he collected nothing but jungle, leading up to his discarding of every house\breakbeat record he owned.
Not knowing what the future could hold, he kept his music a hobby, never really persuing his desires. Until one day, he was contacted about a cd that he had given out to his friends by a company in Oakland. He ended up playing a party alongside names like UFO and Sage. Darkstar ended up being in the spotlight that night, and has led to a few other underground parties by his close friends.
